Where the proxies come from
Proxies are published by their owners — in Telegram channels, on GitHub and on websites. We go through these sources regularly and collect new addresses. We also run servers of our own: their proxies are in a separate block above the main list.
How we check them
We check every proxy with a real connection to Telegram’s servers — the way the app itself does, not just by seeing whether a port is open. Only proxies that passed a check in the last few hours stay on the site, and working ones are re-checked every hour.
Next to each proxy you can see when it was last checked, and its ping — the response time measured from Moscow.
Safety
Telegram encrypts your messages on your own device, so only encrypted traffic passes through the proxy: its owner sees your IP address but not your messages. A proxy works for Telegram only and doesn’t touch other apps.
