Way 1: from a link, one tap
- Pick a proxy in the list below and tap “Connect”.
- Allow opening Telegram if your iPhone asks.
- In the proxy window tap “Connect Proxy” — a shield icon appears at the top.
Way 2: by hand in settings
- Open Telegram → Settings → Data and Storage → Proxy.
- Tap Add Proxy and choose MTProto or SOCKS5.
- Enter the server and port; for MTProto also the secret (the part of the link after “secret=”).
- Tap Done and turn on Use Proxy.
If it does not connect
If the shield keeps spinning, the proxy is overloaded or blocked — pick another, preferably one marked Fake TLS. The Proxy section can keep several proxies to switch between.
